THE RAINTAKER IS EXTREMELY EASY TO USE.
ONCE IT’S CHARGED, PUT THE UNIT IN YOUR VESSEL, WITH THE HOSE OVER THE SIDE (CUT HOSE IF NEEDED) AND IT WILL AUTOMATICALLY OPERATE WHEN WATER IS DETECTED.
THERE ARE NO BUTTONS OR SWITCHES TO OPERATE.
After storing the Raintaker for 2-3 days (out of sunlight, covered), the unit will enter standby mode. The unit will need to be put in the sunlight or plugged in, using the included charger to bring it’s charge up to operating voltage.
*If Raintaker is left outside on a daily basis, the unit will not need to be manually recharged with the power cord.
After charging, please use the test feature as shown in the picture below to ensure Raintaker is operating correctly. You can also press on the area shown to pulse any remaining water out of your bilge, depending on placement.
After long term storage (seasonal storage), you may notice a small delay in the illumination of the red charging light (up to 30 minutes). This is normal. After the delay, you’ll notice quick flashes on the charger indicating proper charging.
The light on the charger will turn red when standard charging is resumed.
Charge 4-6 hours after 3 weeks or more of covered storage (Zero sunlight). This will ensure the battery has a nice bulk charge before use.
