Why do boat covers still fill with water?
It doesn’t get any easier than this to keep your small boat clear of water!
When you receive your Raintaker®, use the included charger and charge for 4 hours. After 4 hours, the pump is ready to use.
1) Set the pump in the lowest spot of your boat or cover.
2) Lay the included discharge hose over the side of your boat and the pump will automatically remove water as needed, day or night.
We include 8’ of ultra flexible hose to use your boat cover pump. This is enough length to make sure your hose is able to reach over the side of most covers, awnings and tarps. The hose can be cut to fit your boat if needed.
At just 4lbs, this pump has built in water sensors that detect rising water levels. Once water is detected, It will activate to remove the accumulated water. Water detection typically happens with 1” of water or less, making this a true low-profile pump. The unit will pump until the water is removed and will continue to monitor water accumulation, activating when water is detected (day and night). The built-in battery system is designed for solar use and will provide enough power to keep water out of your boat or cover (even with heavy downpours and weeks of rain!). The pump will activate when the 1st inch of water is detected. It will then modulate it’s pumping to make sure the cover stays clear of water.
Yes! The Raintaker® is specifically designed for all covers and awnings: (Sunbrella, canvas, polyester, pvc) providing you with low profile water removal and keeping 100#’s of pounds of water off your cover for months on end. Water weighs 8.6lbs/ gallon. A strong summer afternoon storm can drop 30+ gallons (258lbs) of water on your cover!
Keeping water off your cover will reduce the chances of stressing interior components (windshields, accessories) while avoiding the growth of mildew and mold. The Raintaker® removes water in real time as it accumulates.
No. The unit will charge itself during daylight hours (even when it is less than “sunny” out). The Raintaker® is ready to remove water, day and night. The pump is designed to be left outside and in view of the sky whenever possible to keep its battery full and ready for use. EVERY RAINTAKER® CAN CHARGE ITSELF UP TO 100% BY SOLAR CHARGING. Wall cord is included for battery top off / seasonal storage.

The Raintaker® contains a standard capacity battery to remove water from small boats and covers. It uses an electronic sensor that activates the built in 500GPH pump to remove water as needed (algorithm-controlled output). The Raintaker® is calibrated for rainwater only.
The Raintaker PRO uses a battery that has 3x’s the capacity, a larger 1100GPH pump for more demanding water removal in addition to being rated for salt, fresh and brackish water. Designed for water removal from your bilge and/ or boat cover.
Both units utilize sensors that are not susceptible to accidental activation when stored upside down (We don’t use float sensors in any of our products).

For YEARS I fought with my boat cover support poles on my 25′ Sea Ray. I would set the plastic support poles up perfectly straight and put my 600 Denier cover on top, strap it down and store the boat for a week. The next weekend I showed up to get the boat and the support poles had fallen over and left me with a Central Florida swimming pool. I wanted to skip the cheap support pole setup and came across Raintaker. I covered my boat like normal (MINUS the poles) and set the pump on top of the cover. We had a couple of days of heavy Florida rain (hot and humid!) drench us before I got back to my boat, only to find the cover almost bone dry!! I couldn’t believe it.. Sure enough.. my neighbor said he was “watching the cover pump itself”” during the storm. The pump kept the heavy water off during a storm, pumped out all of the water and charged itself backup.
